Disposal of unused veterinary medicines
To prevent the release of unused veterinary medicines into the environment, it is important to dispose of unused veterinary medicines or waste from them correctly. Information on disposal can be found in the package leaflets of all veterinary medicinal products.
Unused (veterinary) medicines should preferably be taken to pharmacies or a hazardous waste disposal service and must not be disposed of via wastewater (the sink or the toilet). This includes veterinary medicines that are past their expiry date.
