Tasks in the field of antibiotic resistance
The German Antibiotic Resistance Strategy, DART 2030, consolidates all government measures and programmes implemented in Germany aimed at limiting antibiotic resistance. As a One Health approach, DART 2030 covers human and animal health and also considers the environment’s role in the emergence and spread of resistance. In the field of animal health, the implementation of various monitoring programmes is mandated by the Veterinary Medicinal Products Act (TAMG) and European legislation, notably Regulation (EU) 2019/6. Furthermore, a range of measures has been introduced to curb the emergence of antibiotic resistance. BVL delivers the programmes and strategies outlined below.
