ITS Food 2022

BVL, together with MRI organized a virtual training event in 2022. Thanks to the virtual format, around 500 colleagues from 70 countries were able to participate.

Besides a general overview on food safety and risk management – from food safety regulations, authorization procedures, risk management tools, prevention, incident and crisis management to food safety alert and information systems – ITS Food 2022 also provided participants with a state-of-the-art insight into food fraud and food authenticity, highlighting a specific topic of global relevance in each session. Through presentations, discussions and (virtual) on-site lab visits, despite the limitations of the format, this first virtual ITS Food was a successful way of sharing knowledge with a large international audience of experts.
