ITS Food 2018

In 2018, BVL set up the first international training on Food safety and risk management. BVL welcomed 40 participants from around the globe in Berlin, providing them with basic knowledge on food and feed safety as well as risk management in Germany and the European Union. The programme covered the food safety monitoring and control programmes, information systems and crisis management. Experts and participants also exchanged on authorisation procedures as well as the work of the National and European reference laboratories. The training course was concluded with a practical experience by visiting a food business operator.
